Working with the existing logo, we started by developing a key visual that would be the foundation for building the brand image. This was the visual we would adapt to the various communication materials, such as vertical and horizontal posters, large and small formats, displays, and an instruction manual. We also used it on the packaging, with the established colour coding for the different flavours, and implemented it on a wide variety of the brand’s items: boxes for liquid cartridges and bottles, a starter kit box, various types of stickers and more. Additional elements we developed for the packaging included pictograms and new flavours, for which we used the Pantone Colour Matching System to achieve harmony with the existing range of flavours/colours.
Despite the many legal constraints – the inclusion of mandatory warnings and other texts, and a minimum pictogram size – we succeeded in producing a highly attractive, discreet and elegant design that worked across all the diverse packaging items and collateral. There was no margin of error for the artworks, since everything was to be printed in China and production follow-up would not be possible. With only two months until the official product launch in September, an absolutely efficient collaboration between K, our creative team, prepress, and the client was essential. Not only did we complete the entire project on time, but we also produced impressive final results that took the brand in the targeted direction.
