  • Leading@O-I – Interactive Brochure

Type of work: Interactive brochure, videos, subtitles
    Date: January to August, 2011
    Markets: Worldwide

At the beginning of 2011, our client O-I, the world's leading glass container manufacturer, came with a novel request: to develop and launch Leading@O-I, an organisational platform for HR in the form of an interactive brochure. As always, we were eager to take on the challenge, even though it would mean working double the hours to coordinate our work with other teams in different time zones around the globe (Switzerland, the U.S. and Peru). And as usual, we found ways to make everything work.

The brochure was to serve as a foundational tool accessible by all 25,000 O-I employees worldwide that would help them understand and implement the company's Leadership Competencies System. The leadership attitude is comprised of many different behaviours and performance standards; this would be the basis of the content of the brochure, which would contain written material, links and 89 videos in 13 languages.

For the interactive brochure itself, we designed the entire layout and developed the technology behind its interactive functionality. Looking back, we are proud that this tool – featuring 289 pages of content – stood the test of time and was still being used by O-I employees around the world four years later. With so many people in different geographies involved in the project for two full years, our coordination skills were put to the test – with excellent results. Our client at O-I: “Working with K was a clear example of a successful strategic customer-supplier partnership. They were involved throughout the entire concept development and design of the solution…I can confirm that most of time, the innovation comes from the strategic potential of our suppliers.”
